What is eKonto?

eKonto is a local payment method in the Czech Republic, based on online banking, which allows customers holding a bank account with Raiffeisenbank or eBanka to transfer funds instantly.For more information on eKonto or eBanka payments click here.

2. Which banks will allow me to deposit via eKonto?

The following banks can be used with eKonto: Raiffeisenbank and eBanka.

3. What happens if I don't have a bank account with these banks?

Unfortunately, you can only use eKonto with the banks specified. eKonto is negotiating with other banks and more will be added in the future.

4. Do I need an account with eKonto to deposit?

No, you only need to have a bank account with one of the banks listed in question 2 (and funds in that bank account, of course!).

5. How do I fund my account using eKonto?

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to the 'Cashier' tab and select 'Deposit'.
  3. You will now see the eKonto logo. To select this deposit option simply click on the icon.
  4. Enter or select your deposit amount and bonus code (if applicable), then click on 'Deposit'.
  5. You will now be redirected to eKonto.
  6. Now log in to your online banking.
  7. Confirm the amount requested to be deposited to your account.
  8. You will receive an instant confirmation and you will be redirected back to the cashier.

6. Are there any fees associated with eKonto?

There is no charge for deposits made using eKonto.

7. How long does it take to receive the money transferred into my account?

The money will be transferred to your account instantly.

8. Can I withdraw to my eKonto account?

No, eKonto is currently only available as a deposit option.

9. Is it safe to use eKonto?

Yes, eKonto is totally secure. Through a combination of transaction monitoring, SMS transaction verification for cardholders and a dedicated anti-fraud team, eKonto is an entirely safe online payment method.
